Whether you’re honeymooning in Croatia or staying stateside, the last thing you want is to get to your destination only to find you don’t have the essentials you need for your honeymoon. After all, you want to spend your honeymoon having fun, not shopping for things you could have easily bought with you. Read on for a few of the essential items to put in your honeymoon suitcases before you leave. 

Essential Clothing/Items

While it’s a good idea to pack light, it’s also important to pack the clothing needed for the climate you’re going to be honeymooning in. Whether it’s plus size tops for women for moonlit walks on the beach or snow bunny suits for skiing on the alps, you’ll want to find out the weather before you schedule your reservations. Don’t overdo it on these items though, as you need room for other items in your suitcases as well. Below is a list of a few of the essential clothing items you should pack.

Medicine 

While the last thing you want to think about on your honeymoon is taking medicine, you need to pack any prescription meds you need the night before you leave. You don’t want to end up sick on your honeymoon. It’s also a great idea to throw in some generic medicines as well, such as Tylenol and other things you might not use but could need. 

Toiletries 

While you may not think that toiletries are that important to pack for a honeymoon, after all, you can just pick them up while you’re there, you are new to the area and might not be able to find what you need. Instead, pack the following things, so you’ll already have them. 

• Toothbrushes
• Toothpaste
• Sanitary napkins
• Shampoo
• Shaving cream
• And the like 

These are just a few of the toiletries you should pack to take with you, there are probably more than you need, so add them to your packing list. Include items like hairbrushes, styling products, and skincare products as well, because you don’t know if you’ll be able to find your brand in another state or country. 

A Nice Camera

While everyone uses their Smartphones these days to take pictures, there’s nothing like the quality of pictures that come from a real camera. You don’t want the pictures you take of your honeymoon to be trusted on your phone. Instead, find a good-quality camera and take it with you everywhere you go, because the memories of your honeymoon are going to be priceless to you and your significant other. 

Consider a Backpack 

A couple of nice backpacks can be lifesavers on your honeymoon. They’re easy to carry around and you can fit everything from your water bottles to your sunglasses and sunscreen inside. They have huge storage spaces so you can put your passports, documents, and other things you might need while you’re out and about on your honeymoon trip as well. Make sure that you don’t keep your money and your credit cards in the same place, however, as that makes you the perfect target for thieves and pickpockets. 

These are just a few of the things that you don’t want to forget when packing for your honeymoon. Remember, you want to spend the entire honeymoon together, not running around town looking for things you forgot.
