La Vie En Rose, which means "Life in Rosey Hues"... The new seasonal colors injected in to the base palette are light and airy, in pastel shades of pink, blush tones, baby blue, cloud grey, lavender, hint of mint, and pale yellow. I accented the palette with soft watercolor floral prints for a touch of whimsy.
The bride will replay the memories of her day in her mind for years to come and pictures of the bridal party will be passed down for generations. A bride’s love story inspires me and this is why I love creating magical and unforgettable gowns.
3 times for family and friends...
If I had a nickel for every person I have measured who said they were going lose weight, I would be rich! Play it safe and order a size that fits your current body. Any dress can be taken in, typically up to three sizes without affecting the look of the dress, but most can only be let out one full size—if that, if you purchase it too small.
Being a bridesmaid is an honor as well as a commitment. Investing in a dress, setting aside time for wedding activities, and playing a pivotal role in the ceremony. Overall, your job is to support your friend in her weak, stressed and potentially scary moments…to help her stay accountable in her marriage and make the whole experience as great as possible.
Classic and all time favorite was Robert Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette. The wedding took place on a remote Georgia island, accessible only by boat. None of the roads were paved. The wedding took place in a tiny wooden chapel, the First African Baptist Church, where the ceremony was held by candlelight. The altar was a simple wooden stand, and its cross was made of two sticks held together by pieces of string. Carolyn's dress was a simple v neck bias cut designed by little known designer at the time, Narciso Rodriguez. It was perfection. My second favorite was Kate Moss and Jamie Hince. The bridal party arrives at the church in a small village in the English Countryside. White flowers line the path to the church door... The church had high rustic beams and white wash walls. Kate wore Galliano and the bridal party was comprised of young girls all in white Bonpoint dresses. Photography by Mario Testino - it was enchanting.
All of the things that seem so important, the font on the invitations, the color of the flowers, the menu, they don't mean a thing really. What matters is you. What matters is your family and friends. What matters is the life you have ahead of you.
