Courtney’s Colorado wedding in Telluride was simply a breath of fresh (mountain) air. Her refreshing personal touches throughout her wedding made it fun and moving for her guests.
Wedding Date: October 4, 2014
Location of Wedding: Telluride, CO
What was your favorite thing about your wedding?
Our location! Telluride has been very special to us from the beginning of our relationship and she showed up in full force to celebrate our wedding. We literally got the most beautiful weekend of the fall!
Who was in your bridal party and why did you choose them?
My sister, sister in law, best friend/match maker and best friend from college... They just all seemed obvious and right. It would have felt wrong to not have one of those ladies standing next to me during the most important moment of my life!
Would you have changed anything about your wedding? Why or why not?
We had a Mountain Chic theme to our wedding. I think style came across in the small details we used in our decor. Our custom monogram, burlap silverware bags, homemade napkins. For me it was the little things that added the biggest touch of style!
What was your first dance song?
"Thank You" by Led Zeppelin - I have loved this song for years and honestly the words could not have been more true. We had one of our readers say it during the ceremony as well so our guests could really hear the beautiful sentiment of the song.
What's your number one tip to future brides?
Enjoy YOUR day! I had a day of planner and she was the best money we spent. I literally did not feel an ounce of stress that day. Remember that the real point of the day is the marriage between two people who love each other, the rest of it is all show!
What was your favorite part of working with Vow To Be Chic?
I loved how easy it was for me and my bridesmaids. The dresses turned out perfect! Everyone was very comfortable and they looked amazing!
Where did you take your honeymoon?
Punta Cana, DR
What's your number one style tip for brides during bridal events such as engagement parties, bridal showers, and receptions?
Stay true to your style... Don't suddenly become someone you are not! If you are a bit more boho chic, let that come out throughout all the special events that happen during a wedding. Don't suddenly become a glamour girl, just because you feel the occasion may call for it.
